Synopsis: Two girls get on the Ferris wheel at Navy Pier, and it appears they don’t know each other. They begin to discuss the symbolism of the wheel and how the ride reflects the cyclicity of romantic relationships: the initial excitement, the climactic peak, and the inevitable decline and end. As the wheel turns, they identify and visualize the corresponding stages of a romantic relationship. The film begins to cut back and forth between them riding on the wheel and the conceptual relationship, which is narrated by the couple. It soon becomes unclear whether they have previously shared an intimate relationship or have just met for the first time. As the story progresses, the line between reality and imagination is blurred. Finally, the wheel finishes its rotation, the conceptual relationship reaches its final stage, and then, as it invariably and inevitably does, the cycle begins again.
